About me

I am a textile designer specialising in mixed media and hand embroidery. The main concept behind my practice is to invite curiosity through organic and unusual formations. 

 

The inclusion of tactile qualities within my practice creates an interactive exploration within public spaces. This sensory engagement allows my artwork to be accessible by everyone, in particular the visually impaired who are often marginalised within the art world. Using our senses has a beneficial affect on the human body, stimulating feelings of enjoyment and satisfaction.

My most recent work has an educational purpose  to encourage the action of hand washing, a necessary measure to promote hand hygiene, particularly since the outbreak of COVID-19.
